Dear Friends within the Art and Media Community FAAMAI and Art4C, Gallery and Creative Learning Space invite you to an exhibition "Eternal Labyrinth Exhibition" by Achitaphon Piansukprasert

Open 10 January - 20 February 2022, 9.00 - 18.00 hrs. (Closes on Sunday) at Art4C, Gallery and Creative Learning Space, 3rd Floor.

“Life is absurd and chaotic as usual.”

The Eternal Labyrinth exhibition by Achitaphon Piansukprasert portrays relationships as intangible connections among everything and people surrounded, so it creates an interconnection between memory and narrative. The show gives ‘life’ a meaning that reminiscences upon current relationships. Adopting an epistemology methodology to study what kind of basis our existence arises and deconstructs the separate existence? The ways of seeing and valuing life might be ordinary or extraordinary. It is always based on each relationship and connection with others in ‘life.’

Achitaphon demonstrates life as a mystifying subject, leading to the question of its value and meaning. Through a structure that connects life and death called ‘relationship.’ Binding with surrounding circumstances, people, and places keep human beings alive, or at least it ties a spirit in a body. From Achitaphon perception of this liaison, if a part of spirit has disappeared, it will shift the state of body and mind from existing to becoming nothingness. The structure of life and death is somehow obscured. However, several nodes are still linked, such as stories, memories, personal experiences, social context, society, and beliefs, culminating in value and fantasy. Nodes create liaisons in various states, revealing the artistic methodology Achitaphon has conducted in this exhibition. He explores the context of space, atmosphere, state of mind surrounding the area and people with installations, abstract drawing, sound and videos.

Therefore, Achitaphon’s life depends on relationships, among others. Besides, he sees the artistic practice as a bond to associate himself with other beings. Hence, the artwork is a form of responsive body with a flow of thoughts to crystallise ideas. Likewise, it helps him soothe the contemplation of death where the whole exhibition illustrates the drive and interferences of decision, through the current environment, made by one own. Ultimately, death can be a right to exercise free will, like other everyday activities - eat, watch, listen, walk, sit, sleep, etc. At the same time, it is an easy shortcut to a turning point for one to dismiss the complex “labyrinths”, including the imprisoned “cages”.
