เมื่อพูดถึงเซรามิก คุณนึกถึงอะไร?

จากเซรามิกแบบดั้งเดิมที่ใช้ทำเครื่องปั้นดินเผา ถ้วยชาม และกระเบื้อง แต่ในปัจจุบันเทคโนโลยีเซรามิกก้าวหน้าไปมาก ทำให้เซรามิกอยู่ในทุกสิ่งรอบตัว บนตัว และในตัวเรา ในแบบที่เราคาดไม่ถึง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นกระดูกเทียม นาฬิกา ยานพาหนะ อาคารบ้านเรือน ไปจนถึงยานอวกาศ

เซรามิกขั้นสูง หรือ High performance ceramic เป็นเซรามิกที่ผ่านกระบวนการผลิตที่มีความซับซ้อนและใช้วัตถุดิบที่มีคุณภาพ ทำให้มีคุณสมบัติโดดเด่นกว่าเซรามิกแบบดั้งเดิม เช่น เป็นฉนวนความร้อนสูง มีคุณสมบัติทางไฟฟ้าที่ดี สามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในอุปกรณ์การแพทย์ ชิ้นส่วนอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ เครื่องยนต์ งานโครงสร้าง รวมถึงเป็นวัสดุนวัตกรรมในการผลิตนาฬิกา

ค้นพบเรื่องราว ศักยภาพ และประโยชน์ของเซรามิกขั้นสูงได้ในนิทรรศการ “MASTER OF MATERIALS” ซึ่งเป็นความร่วมมือระหว่างสำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ (องค์การมหาชน) และ ราโด ในเครือบริษัท เดอะ สวอท์ช กรุ๊ป เทรดดิ้ง (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด เพื่อนำเสนอศักยภาพของวัสดุเซรามิกขั้นสูงและการออกแบบ พร้อมคุณสมบัติ นวัตกรรม และเทคโนโลยีที่ประยุกต์ใช้สำหรับนาฬิกาและอุตสาหกรรมอื่นๆ ได้

What comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘ceramic’?

Ceramic is traditionally used as the material of potteries, tableware, and tiles. Thanks to the advanced technology, ceramic is all around us, but also, perhaps more surprisingly, on us, and even in us; from watches, cars, buildings, bone implants to spaceships.

High performance ceramic is made from raw materials which have been carefully selected and processed, resulting in high-quality ceramics with outstanding characteristics such as heat resistance and high conductivity. This type of material is used in electronic and engine parts, medical equipment components, and watchmaking.

Come explore the story and the potential of ceramic in the exhibition “MASTER OF MATERIALS” by Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) and RADO under the Swatch Group Trading (Thailand) Ltd. With this synergy, the exhibition is proposing the power of high performance ceramic in the aspects of material and design, properties, innovation and technology that can be applied in watchmaking and other industries.
