กระดาษ... บันทึกที่สะท้อนเรื่องราว ที่มา ศักยภาพและอัตลักษณ์ของนักสร้างสรรค์ไทย

โลกที่กำลังพัฒนาอย่างรวดเร็วนำพาเราเข้าสู่สภาวะแวดล้อมในยุคธุรกิจและสังคมแบบใหม่ ทำให้สิ่งที่เรียกว่า “กระดาษทำมือ” ดูเหมือนจะห่างไกลจากชีวิตประจำวันของเราเป็นอย่างมาก แต่ตำนานความรู้ของกระดาษทำมือที่ถูกสั่งสมมายังไม่สูญหายไป กลับถูกทำให้ชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้น

สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ (องค์การมหาชน) ร่วมกับ Coth Studio นำเสนอเนื้อหาและเรื่องราวของ “กระดาษทำมือ” ที่ยังไม่สิ้นสุด แต่ยังถูกบันทึกต่อในชีวิตของผู้ประกอบการกระดาษ 2 ท่านในพื้นที่ภาคเหนือ คือ ปาป้า เปเปอร์ คราฟต์ และช่างกระดาษเวฬุวัน ที่จะมานำเสนอมุมมองที่มีต่อผลิตภัณฑ์กระดาษ ทิศทางของกระดาษทำมือในยุคใหม่ และขั้นตอนที่แต่ละท่านได้คิดค้นและพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อสรรค์สร้างและแสดงให้เห็นถึงคุณค่าของกระดาษทำมือ และยังความงามที่มีเสน่ห์และเอกลักษณ์ในยุคสมัยนี้

นิทรรศการ “PAPER BLOG” ยังต้องการนำเสนอมุมมองของการพัฒนาที่ไม่ได้หมายความว่าจะต้องละทิ้งเอกลักษณ์ เสน่ห์ วิธีการ หรือคุณค่าของงานทำมือ แต่หมายถึงการพัฒนาเพื่อส่งเสริมศักยภาพการทำงานสร้างสรรค์ร่วมกันของทั้งวัสดุ และการสร้างสรรค์ด้วยเทคนิค เทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่

In an age where everything moves fast, from machinery to the digital world, we have increasingly distanced ourselves from something called “handmade paper”. Although handmade paper seems to be far from our modern routines, its legend and knowledge have yet been wiped out. Rather, it has been shaped in a more determined way.

Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA has collaborated with Coth Studio in presenting the stories of two legendary handmade paper entrepreneurs: Papa Paper Craft and Weruwana Paper Studio, in the northern region, to illustrate how the craft of handmaking paper does not only continue but also give value in this modern age. The exhibition narrates the stories of each entrepreneur and their perspectives regarding the direction of modern handmade paper by tracing each product’s process from invention to development over the course of each entrepreneur’s life.

Beyond just showcasing the potential of Thai handmade paper, this exhibition aims to demonstrate that the age of advancing technologies does not necessarily require the rejection of handcrafting. Rather, development can even increase the value of craftsmanship, as machine-made and digital products often fail to provide the unique qualities of handmade products.
