Hyper-converged is one of the hottest topics in the data center. In this session, you will learn about the core components of a software-defined data center and how hyper-converged systems differ from traditional architectures. The VCE team will also explain how VCE's portfolio of Racks and Appliances offers multiple options for deploying hyper-converged solutions in the core data center as well as distributed environments. James is the Sales and Product Lead for EMC’s Hyper-Converged Business in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). He has been involved in EMC’s Hyper-Converged technology since its inception, with a vast knowledge of the market and technology, has grown the business for EMC across the variety of countries in Asia Pacific and Japan. James has been with EMC for over 18 years, and his experience is vast across the business having worked in Customer Service, Global Services and Channels in APJ. James was previously leading the Hyper-Converged appliances business in APJ, as a Principal Technical Consultant and more recently as the Product and Sales lead, where he was responsible for accelerating the awareness and driving the business of Hyper-Converged technologies to EMC's Partner and Customer community. James spent 13 years with EMC in Melbourne, Australia before moving to Singapore 5 years ago, where he lives with his wife Penny and daughters Annalissa & Aliki.
