การผลิตสื่อของผู้ผลิตอิสระในเบอร์ลินตะวันตก ในยุค 80

หากนึกถึงชีวิตดิบเถื่อนของชาวเยอรมันตะวันตกในทศวรรษ 1980 แล้ว เราจะพบเรื่องราวน่าสนใจมากมายให้หยิบยกขึ้นมาพูดคุยกัน ด้วยเหตุนี้ สถาบันเกอเธ่ ประเทศไทย จึงมีความยินดีอย่างยิ่งที่ได้จัดเวิร์กชอปแบบไลฟ์ร่วมกับบุคคลสำคัญสองท่านคือ คนุท ฮอฟไมสเทอร์ ผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์ ร่วมกับ มาร์ค รีเดอร์ นักแต่งเพลง โดยทั้งคู่จะนำผู้ร่วมเวิร์กชอปย้อนเวลาไปสัมผัสชีวิตและการสร้างผลงานของพวกเขาในทศวรรษ 1980 ด้วยการพูดคุย เล่าเรื่องราว พร้อมกับนำเสนอภาพยนตร์และเสียงเพลง ซึ่งทั้งคู่จะถ่ายทอดให้เห็นถึงบทชีวิตในทศวรรษนั้นซึ่งไม่เพียงสุดแสนลำบาก แต่ยังต้องต่อสู้กับความยากจน กับชีวิตกลางคืนที่ดิบเถื่อน และการเผชิญหน้ากับเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐผู้ไร้ความปรานี ชีวิตที่ต้องฝ่าฟันในกับดักของกำแพงเมืองที่ปิดกั้น แต่ในความหดหู่สิ้นหวัง ทั้งคู่กลับนำความคิดสร้างสรรค์ออกมาเป็นเครื่องมือต่อสู้ และได้ผลิตสิ่งสวยงามออกมาเป็นผลงานให้ปรากฏต่อสังคม ซึ่งงานของพวกเขามีอิทธิพลอย่างเห็นได้ชัดต่อโลกดนตรี โลกภาพยนตร์ และโลกศิลปะมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้

A film workshop with the two artists Knut Hoffmeister and Mark Reeder
February 12, 2018 from 4-6 PM in Goethe Saal at the Goethe-Institut Thailand
On the basis of short films and music both artists will present their daily work in the film and music producing industry. The audience are invited to work directly with the artists and explore their way of life in the 1980s in West-Berlin. Especially in the 1980s a whole bunch of famous musicians had been at least for some time in West-Berlin and worked together with the two artists: e.g Nina Hagen, Nena, Mania D., Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, Iggy Pop, David Bowie. Don´t worry if you don´t know the artists by now. Hoffmeister and Reeder will introduce their music to you!
At the end of the workshop the documentary “B-Movie: Lust & Sound in Westberlin 1979-1989” will be shown. The movie shows different parts of the life of Mark Reeder in that time. It connects his life with the beginning of the early loveparade and brings it together with other artists, who had been in West-Berlin at the same time. The movie does not show the development of one specific music genre, but rather it shows the development from `New Wave´ and other music genres as well in the 1980s.
This workshop is not only a good chance for film students, but rather it fits perfectly for students of the history department. Beside getting to know about the development of the German film and music industry, Hoffmeister and Reeder will also inform about the German history during the time of the cold war. It is very attractive to hear about that time from two artists, who really felt the consequences in the separated city of Berlin.
Beside students the Goethe-Institut welcomes other interested people as well to join the workshop. If you are interested in German and European history during the time of the cold war, you are very welcomed to join the workshop and discuss your questions with the artists. The language of the workshop will be English.
