TCDC ร่วมกับบริษัท Indorama Ventures และสถานฑูตเนเธอร์แลนด์ จัดนิทรรศการ RECO เพื่อแสดงผลงานในโครงการ Reco Young Designer 2018 ซึ่งแสดงถึงความตระหนักเรื่องการรีไซเคิลขวดพลาสติก PET และความคิดสร้างสรรค์เป็นแนวทางในการรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม

ผลงานที่จัดแสดงประกอบไปด้วยผลงานออกแบบแฟชั่นจำนวน 10 คอลเล็กชั่น (30 ชุด) จากนักออกแบบในโครงการ และผลงานศิลปะจากศิลปินแถวหน้าของไทย 5 ท่าน อันประกอบไปด้วยคุณชวลิต เสริมปรุงสุข คุณศักดิ์ชัย อุทธิโธ คุณกงพัฒน์ ศักดาพิทักษ์ ม.ล. รจนาธร ณ สงขลา และคุณประสิทธิ วิชายะ

ผลงานออกแบบทั้งหมดในการประกวด สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นมาโดยใช้พลาสติก PET และโพลีเอสเตอร์อย่างน้อย 60% โดยผลงานแต่ละชิ้นเป็นตัวอย่างของความเป็นไปได้และศักยภาพในการนำขยะมาสร้างเป็นผลงานออกแบบที่มีความสวยงาม และสามารถใช้งานได้อย่างไม่อาจคาดคิด ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในวัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการ RECO

เกี่ยวกับ RECO

RECO เป็นการประกวดการรีไซเคิลขยะที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศไทย ซึ่งจัดขึ้นทุกปีโดยบริษัท Indorama Ventures โดยมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อสร้างการรับรู้เรื่องการนำพลาสติก PET และโพลีเอสเตอร์มาสร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานออกแบบที่โดดเด่น หนึ่งในสิ่งที่ RECO มุ่งหวังคือการแสดงให้เห็นทักษะใหม่ๆ ในการสร้างสรรค์ และผลงานออกแบบจากขยะที่งดงาม จนต้องประหลาดใจ ทุกๆ ปี RECO จัดแสดงถึงองค์ความรู้ในการสร้างผลงานออกแบบ และช่วยคนรุ่นใหม่ที่มีความคิดสร้างสรรค์ในการสร้างสรรค์งานออกแบบเพื่อสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ดีขึ้น

TCDC in corporation with Indorama Ventures and the embassy of the Netherlands are hosting the exhibition “RECO” to showcase the design work in the project RECO Young Designer 2018. The exhibition is presenting the awareness in recycling PET and applying creativity as the sustainable approach for the environment.

All designs for the RECO competition were made using at least 60% recycled PET and polyester. Each of the designs are examples of the potential for waste to be used to create sophisticated items that also serve a practical purpose, confounding people’s normal expectations. One aim of RECO is to demonstrate new skills, and it comes as a surprise to many that these products were once waste.

About RECO

RECO, the largest upcycling design competition in Thailand hosted annually by Indorama Ventures, aims to raise awareness on using PET and polyester waste to create brilliant and inspiring designs. One of the aims of RECO is to demonstrate new skills, and it comes as a surprise to many that these designs are created from waste materials.
