What is BARRE exercise?

BARRE is a workout technique inspired by the movement of ballet and the strengthening of pilates. BARRE focuses on low-impact, high intensity movement designed to strengthen and tone the body in ways that few other workouts can.

Each class is designed for a full body workout. The muscles in each group is fatigued via small targeted movements, high repetition and light weight or resistance. 

Benefit of BARRE exercise 

  • BARRE helps strengthen and tone your muscles without increasing bulk, and it improves your posture. It also increases cardiovascular endurance and metabolism, which helps to quickly burn calories.
  • If long lean body like a ballerina is what you wish for then BARRE may be a form of exercise to grant you that wish.

Do you need a dance background to do BARRE?

  • The answer is NO! More than 80 percent come to barre with no dance background, you just got to love to move to the music be open minded to a new form of exercise.
  • Barre is very beginner friendly, and adaptable to different skill sets and ability levels.
