เทศกาลงานออกแบบกรุงเทพฯ หรือ Bangkok Design Week นำเสนองานสร้างสรรค์ งานออกแบบ ตลอดจนนวัตกรรมที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยความคิดสร้างสรรค์และกระบวนการคิดเชิงออกแบบในรูปแบบต่างๆ ตั้งแต่ผลงานเชิงทดลอง ผลงานเชิงพาณิชย์ ไปจนถึงธุรกิจสร้างสรรค์และผลงานเพื่อสังคม เพื่อกระตุ้นให้เกิดบรรยากาศของการร่วมมือกันสร้างสรรค์สิ่งใหม่ แบ่งปันความรู้และประสบการณ์ สร้างแรงบันดาลใจ เชื่อมโยงเครือข่าย และขยายโอกาสทางธุรกิจ ทั้งยังเป็นพื้นที่แสดงศักยภาพด้านการออกแบบและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ของกรุงเทพฯ ในเวทีโลก โดยจะจัดขึ้นในหลายพื้นที่ อาทิ ย่าน เจริญกรุง คลองสาน พระราม 1 และ สุขุมวิทเพื่อให้สอดคล้องไปกับบริบทของหนึ่งในเมืองหลวงที่มีเสน่ห์ดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวให้มาเยือนมากเป็นอันดับต้นๆ ของโลก
เทศกาลงานออกแบบกรุงเทพฯ 2562 หรือ Bangkok Design Week 2019 (BKKDW 2019) จะจัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่สอง ระหว่างวันที่ 26 มกราคม – 3 กุมภาพันธ์ 2562 ภายใต้ธีม “Fusing Forward ผสานสร้างสู่อนาคต” เพื่อสะท้อนศักยภาพที่สำคัญของกรุงเทพฯ ในฐานะเมืองที่เป็นแหล่งรวมนักสร้างสรรค์และผู้ผลิตที่สามารถหยิบส่วนผสมต่าง ๆ จากหลากสาขาความรู้ จากในท้องถิ่นและสากล จากรุ่นเก่าและรุ่นใหม่ เพื่อมาปรุงใหม่ให้กลายเป็นผลงานและผลิตภัณฑ์เชิงการพาณิชย์และคุณภาพชีวิต
เทศกาลงานออกแบบกรุงเทพฯ 2562 ขอเชิญชวนนักออกแบบ นักสร้างสรรค์ ผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจ ผู้ผลิต ศิลปิน หน่วยงาน และผู้ที่ทำงานเกี่ยวข้องกับอุตสาหกรรมสร้างสรรค์ เข้าร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของความเคลื่อนไหวล่าสุดของเมือง และร่วมขับเคลื่อนวงการการออกแบบและอุตสาหกรรมสร้างสรรค์ให้เติบโตไปด้วยกันในเทศกาลงานออกแบบกรุงเทพฯ 2562 ผู้ที่สนใจสามารถสมัครเข้าร่วมจัดแสดงผลงาน Showcase และจัดกิจกรรม Event & Program ตามรายละเอียดที่ระบุไว้ในคู่มือการสมัครเข้าร่วมงาน

Designed to be a showcase for creative and design works and innovations driven by creativity and design thinking, Bangkok Design Week (BKKDW) brings together experimental and commercial works, creative businesses, and socially-oriented projects with an aim to foster creative cooperation and sharing of knowledge and experience, provide inspirations, and facilitate networking and business opportunities while putting a spotlight on a city’s design and creative potential on a global stage. As befits one of the world’s most visited cities, Bangkok Design Week (BKKDW) will place at various locations around Bangkok, such as Charoenkrung, Klong San, Rama I, and Sukhumvit.
Hosted under the theme ‘Fusing Forward’, Bangkok Design Week 2019 (BKKDW2019) aims to showcase Bangkok’s true potential as a rendezvous for creative individuals and producers who integrate knowledge from various disciplines to create products and services for commercial purposes and a better quality of life.
Bangkok Design Week 2019 (BKKDW2019) would like to invite designers, creators, entrepreneurs, producers, artists, public agencies, and individuals involved in the creative industry to participate in the city’s latest happening festival, which will contribute to the future growth of the city’s design and creative industries. Those interested can either present their design works in the ‘Showcase’ or host events under the ‘Event & Program’ by following the application procedures in the Application Handbook.
