ในช่วงเทศการงานออกแบบกรุงเทพ Bangkok Design Week 2019 (ระหว่างวันที่ 26 มกราคม – 3 กุมภาพันธ์ 2562) TCDC COMMONS – W District จับมือกับ Agoda บริษัทผู้ให้บริการสำรองห้องพักผ่าน online travel booking platform รายใหญ่ในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิก จัดกิจกรรมเสวนาร่วมพูดคุยและแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ เจาะลึกถึงกระบวนการออกแบบ UX และการวิจัย รวมไปถึงการใช้เทคโนโลยีใหม่ๆ ในการทำการสำรวจ เพื่อเผยความต้องการของผู้ใช้ได้อย่างแม่นยำ พาทุกคนเรียนรู้เบื้องหลังการทำงานของทีมวิจัยและนักออกแบบ UX แห่ง Agoda ไปพร้อมๆ กัน

During this year’s Bangkok Design Week 2019 (26 January - 3 February), TCDC COMMONS - W District in the collaboration Agoda, the most influential global online accommodation reservations provider in Asia Pacific region, are going to organize the public seminar and workshop regarding the various aspects of User Experience design, new surveying technology– which help address the user need more precisely. Let’s explore the story behind the excellency of Agoda together and don’t be hesitate to join us!

Talk 1: Growing an International Research Team
by Aaron Moy, Head of UX Research
In this talk, Aaron will discuss his personal experiences scaling the research team and its practices at Agoda, and finding the balance between user, product, and business needs. It will explore how Agoda "sells" research internally and grows its expertise beyond the user lab and survey. Finally, it will touch on growing an international research team and finding the right people to support the needs of a growing company.

Talk 2: Laying the Groundwork for Research

Getting buy-in from stakeholders is critical for the success of any UX project. In this talk, we will outline why it’s important to get initial buy-in and outline some specific methods/opportunities to engage stakeholders throughout the research process insure that the research has impact on your team, product, and stakeholder.

Talk 3: A Mix of Methods: Finding the right research methods to answer the questions you have

There are many research methods out there, however selecting the right research method to use can be tricky. In this talk, we will talk about some commonly asked research questions and some research methods (or combination of methods) that could be used to answer those research questions.

Talk 4: Making Surveys Sexy: Creative Methods for Design Research
by Tommy Krcmaric, UX Researcher
Many people immediately fall asleep upon hearing the word "survey." Surveys are boring and outdated, right? Wrong! New technologies have created exciting techniques for evaluating designs and uncovering user needs at scale. In this talk I'll walk through an example of how Agoda combined multiple creative survey methods to quickly address a complex design problem.
