Amnaj Wachirasurt’s Impressionist-style oil paintings of abstract and semi-abstract landscapes are brought to life through seemingly still surfaces of paint that, upon closer inspection, reveal astonishing layers of depth and dimension.

A continuation of a body of work filled with colors, natural scenery, and innocent birds, Amnaj’s paintings depict what appears to be an ideal world that, in fact, ensconces social critique from the perspective of a contemporary painter.

ผลงานจิตรกรรมสีน้ำมันสไตล์อิมเพรสชันนิสม์ (Impressionism) ของอำนาจ วชิรสุรต ซึ่งถ่ายทอดภาพทิวทัศน์ในรูปแบบนามธรรมและกึ่งนามธรรมนั้น เปี่ยมไปด้วยชีวิตชีวา แม้ผิวสัมผัสของสีจะดูนิ่งสงบ แต่เมื่อพินิจดูใกล้ๆ จะเผยให้เห็นมิติและความลึกซึ้งที่น่าทึ่งซ่อนอยู่ภายใน
ผลงานชุดนี้ถือเป็นการสานต่อเรื่องราวที่เต็มไปด้วยสีสัน ทิวทัศน์ธรรมชาติ และเหล่าวิหคที่ดูไร้เดียงสา ภาพวาดของอำนาจถ่ายทอดสิ่งที่ดูประหนึ่งโลกในอุดมคติ ทว่าแท้จริงแล้วกลับแฝงไว้ด้วยการวิพากษ์สังคมผ่านมุมมองของศิลปินร่วมสมัย
