The Memoir of Movement
In some familiar places that have changed over time, free-flowing tides,
someone who has changed sometimes,
the most dramatic movement can occur underneath an extreme silence.
.
The Memoir of Movement is a photography exhibition by Phichai Keawvichit, an outstanding minimalist photographer passionate about experimenting with something new and enthusiastic in self-development. After two years of hiatus, this is his latest solo exhibition featuring a new collection of minimalist photographs that will take viewers to explore ‘movement’ of all beings both visible and invisible, alive, or lifeless. These photographs also reveal his emotional movement and inner self. His hands-on experiences over the past two years become a great source of inspiration.
.
After his Unlock exhibition in 2019, Phichai encountered life changes, discovering his fondness of Impressionism art. He tried drawing, reading a new genre of books, challenging himself to become a writer as if the world was a huge playground bustling with experiments and learning. He eventually felt significant changes within himself.
.
Such inner movement made his eyes open to appreciate every rhythm of all beings. Wind-blowing trees, moving tides washing near and far witnessing time, places, and people advancing and evolving slowly.
.
This return is for sharing not only his intriguing stories captured through impressive photographs, but also his literary diaries that let viewers delve into his identities and thoughts deeper than before.
.
When entering this exhibition, Phichai is inviting you to release your mind, move freely, discard your old perception towards movement and open for a new definition.
.
Sometimes you would feel a movement inside your mind.
