TCDC ร่วมกับ UNESCO จัดนิทรรศการ Internet Universality Beyond Words ที่นำเสนอผลงานของ 11 นักสร้างสรรค์ซึ่งเข้าร่วมเวิร์กช็อปในหัวข้อความเป็นสากลของอินเทอร์เน็ต ที่จัดโดยองค์กร UNESCO ในเดือนพฤษภาคม 2561 เวิร์กช็อปนี้เน้นในเรื่องความท้าทาย แรงบันดาลใจ ตลอดจนมุมมองที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของนักสร้างสรรค์แต่ละคนที่มีต่อประเด็นที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับการสื่อสารและข้อมูลในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

ผลงานที่นำมาจัดแสดงในครั้งนี้ เป็นผลจากการสะท้อนความคิดเห็นของกลุ่ม และจากการระดมความคิดที่มีต่อสถานการณ์ต่างๆ ในท้องถิ่น และการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมที่เกี่ยวกับอินเทอร์เน็ต ซึ่งทำหน้าที่เป็นพื้นที่ เครื่องมือ และเครือข่ายที่ทุกคนเป็นเจ้าของ ผลงานที่นำมาจัดแสดงนี้มีความหลากหลายในเนื้อหา เช่น เรื่องความสัมพันธ์ของมนุษย์ การแสดงออกทางด้านวัฒนธรรม เวลาและพื้นที่ ตลอดจนเรื่องความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับอินเทอร์เน็ตในภูมิภาคย่อย

ผู้เข้าร่วมเวิร์กช็อปยังเปิดเผยถึงการแสดงออกในท้องถิ่นเกี่ยวกับแนวคิด อินเทอร์เน็ตสำหรับคนทุกคน และหลักการ ROAM ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ซึ่งย่อมาจาก สิทธิ (Right) ความเปิดกว้าง (Openness) ความสามารถในการเข้าถึงได้ (Accessibility) และการมีส่วนร่วมของผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสีย (Multi-stakeholder Participation) เหล่านี้จำเป็นสำหรับการพัฒนาอินเทอร์เน็ตเพื่อคนทุกคน

นักสร้างสรรค์ไทยที่ร่วมเข้าเวิร์กช็อปและแสดงผลงานในนิทรรศการในครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นิพพิทา โพนเงิน สิริวัฒน์ โพธิ์กระเจน ปภพ เกิดทรัพย์ วีร์ วีรพร ทิวไพร บัวลอย อรณี ธวัชผ่องศรี กวิน สุวรรณไตร เกวลิน ประเสริฐสิทธิ์

The exhibition “Internet Universality Beyond Words”

TCDC in cooeration with UNESCO proudly presents the exhibition “Internet Universality Beyond Words” featuring the works of 11 creative individuals who took part in the UNESCO workshop on Internet Universality in May 2018. The exhibition highlights their challenges and aspirations, as well as their unique perspectives on issues related to communication and information in Southeast Asia. 

The presented works are the results of collective reflection and brainstorming on a number of local situations and social transformations pertaining to the Internet as a space, a tool, and a network that belongs to all. They cut across various themes such as human relationships, cultural representation, time and space, as well as the local understanding of the Internet in the sub-region.

The entire creatives also reveal the local expressions of Internet Universality and its associated ROAM principles which refer to rights (R), openness (O), accessibility (A) and multi-stakeholder participation (M), necessary for the development of an Internet that works for all.

Participated Thai creatives are Nippita Ponggerm, Siriwat Pokrajen, Paphop Kerdsup, Wee Viraporn, Tewprai Bualoi, Aonree Thawatpongsri, Kawin Suwannatrai,  Kewalin 

Prasertsith, Pimnara Sintaveevonge, Praiya Sathanasaowphak and Tanyathorn 

Lertruangpunyavut.
