Digital Flâneurie

Inspired by a French word Flâneurie which refers to
the act of strolling around on the crowded streets of Paris in the 19th century,
the South Korean artist Kim Sang Min presents such an idea through Digital Flâneurie,
her latest video art and photography exhibition. Centuries ago the middle class and
wealthy people were fond of roaming the streets, discovering, observing and
looking for the excitement from those windows heavily and luxuriously decorated to
draw attention along the way. Today with the help of smartphones,
the roaming or Flâneurie continues; however, in the virtual world.
