Hope Fair, September 17th at the Rembrandt Hotel
The next Hope Fair will be held on Thursday, September 17th at the Rembrandt Hotel, from 9.00 AM until 3.00 PM, a special shopping opportunity to raise money for charity.
Discover 75 international and local artisans and entrepreneurs with a variety of products to please everyone, all gathered together to raise money for the children living in the slums of Bangkok.
The Hope Fair is now well known in Bangkok after its previous 3 very successful events at the end of November 2014 and beginning of March and end of May this year regrouping vendors of delicatessens, fashion, accessories, kids games and personalized items, charities, decoration, and wellness products.
“I was amazed to see so many vendors and shoppers!!!” said one designer. The Fair has been created following the request of the expat community of Bangkok to gather in a convivial way to meet and exchange good contacts and tips. It is also a great opportunity to meet friends and browse through a variety of artisanal items and products that are not otherwise available commercially.
The Hope Fair is happening 4 times a year (March / May / September / November) to raise money for the children with HIV and orphans living in the slums of Klong Toey under the care of the long established Mercy Centre http://www.mercycentre.org/.. Each vendor makes a donation and the customers are invited to do the same.
The Mercy Centre is a shelter for street kids, five orphanages, a hospice, a home for mothers and children with HIV/AIDS, a 400-pupil kindergarten, a community meeting place, and a serene haven in the slums with small gardens and playgrounds.
We firmly believe in giving back to the community and we hope you’ll support us in this endeavor.
On the 17 th of September, we will once again be presenting popular merchandise and novelties, mixing local products with imported ones. Support the kids and the vendors by joining us and shopping in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere in the spacious and elegant 660 square meter ball room of the Rembrandt Hotel.
