“ Place of Emptiness ”

1st Solo Exhibition By  Padungsup Prachanan

     Humans perceive and realize placeness by the meaning of place, which is from memory, event, or relationship between humans, humans and non-humans, or even by witnessing non-human relations. If there is a lack of realization through the above essential points. Those areas become what are known as non-place, or placelessness, which leads to a sense of alienation from each other. 

     Place of Emptiness features forest landscapes from the artist's memories and feelings toward the forest. This exhibition presents forest as placelessness and as a place that is identified and located by humans, which is how we negotiate with nature, whether that location exists on the Earth or not. This landscape series also reveals a sense of alienation between humans and nature and how humans have always negotiated, supervised, and dominated nature.
