Low Fat Screening: The Underground Cinema

Under intimate underground atmosphere, Low Fat Art Fest 2017 welcomes you the exclusive film screening at Thong Lor Art Space to kick off the first program of the festival. The Film Screening Session is the festival intention to embrace the art of filmmaking, showcasing the art of filmmaking by the works of two categories: submitted films by young filmmaker in unlimited genres and curated works by professional filmmakers in the likes of Apichartpong Weerasethikul.

This is the second in Low Fat Art Fest but the first time for the cinematic category. Thong Lor Art Space aimed to provide the space for "Free fimmakers" and "Free film-goers" to discuss, exchange, their creative processes. Most of the selected films in "The Underground Cinema" are curated for their simple techniques but rich with creativity and storytelling which is the motto of #LowFatArtFest that intended to give the artists and the audience a space for concentrated art, regardless of their platforms.

ฉายหนัง 6 เรื่อง / 3 วัน / ทั้งผู้กำกับดัง และนักทำหนังอิสระ

ภายใต้บรรยากาศใกลิชิดแบบโรงหนังใต้ดิน Low Fat Art Fest 2017 ขอต้อนรับท่านเข้าสู่ "The Underground Cinema" กิจกรรมฉายภาพยนตร์ใหม่ ณ ทองหล่อ อาร์ตสเปซ ที่เปิดพื้นที่ให้ผู้ทำภาพยนตร์ได้ดูหนัง และพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนกัน ทั้งงานของหน้าใหม่ ที่ส่งผลงานภาพยนจร์เข้ามาโดยไม่จำกัดรูปแบบ และผลงานของผู้กำกับชื่อดังที่ถูกคัดสรรมาอย่างเช่น อภิชาติพงศ์ วีรเศรฐกุล เป็นต้น

ครั้งนี้ถือเป็นเพียงครั้งที่ 2 สำหรับเทศเทศกาลศิลปะนานาชาติ แต่เป็นครั้งแรกที่มีการจัดแสดงศิลปะในประเภท "ภาพยนตร์" โดยทองหล่ออาร์ตสเปซต้องการเพิ่มพื้นที่ให้กับ "คนทำหนังอิสระ" และ "คนดูหนังอิสระ" ให้ได้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนและแบ่งปันความคิดสร้างสรรค์ หรือ แนวคิดของกันและกัน ซึ่งภาพยนตร์ส่วนใหญ่ที่ถูกคัดเลือกให้นำมาจัดฉายใน The Underground Cinema ในครั้งนี้นั้น เป็นภาพยนตร์มีวิธีและเทคนิคการถ่ายทำที่สามัญธรรมดา แต่อัดแน่นไปด้วยแรงบันดาลใจและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ซึ่งตรงกับจุดยืนของ #LowFatArtFest ที่ต้องการจะเป็นอีกหนึ่งแรงสนับสนุนให้กับศิลปิน และ ผู้ชม ที่ต้องการชมศิลปะที่เข้มข้น ไม่จำกัดประเภท ไม่จำกัดรูปแบบ ในแบบฉบับของความ 'Low Fat'
