นิทรรศการ รัก...ลวงตา Love...illusion นิทรรศการเดี่ยวในรอบ 7 ปี ของ วิษณุพงษ์ หนูนันท์ นำเสนอเรื่องราวใกล้ๆตัว มุมมองที่มีต่อธรรมชาติมนุษย์ของศิลปินวิษณุพงษ์ นำเอาไฟเบอร์กลาสมาหล่อก่อนที่จะบรรจงแต่งแต้มด้วยทักษะจิตรกรรมอย่างคล่องแคล่ว เผยให้เห็นถึงส่วนที่นูนต่ำในแต่ละผลงาน เปรียบเสมือนประติมากรรม ที่เล่นล้อเส้นสาย เปลี่ยนน้ำหนักของเงาไปตามพื้นที่และสภาพแสง ในนิทรรศการ รักลวงตา วิษณุพงษ์ให้ความสนใจกับชั่วขณะของความเปลี่ยนแปลง ขณะที่อดีตกลายเป็นปัจจุบัน ศิลปะยุคเก่าเชื่อมกับศิลปะร่วมสมัยการเล่นแสงและเงาในผลงานของศิลปินนั้นชวนให้นึกถึงศิลปะในยุคบาโรก ที่มักจะมีกลิ่นอายของนาฏกรรมเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้อง การตัดแสงและเงาอย่างชัดเจน เพื่อดึงเอาอารมณ์ร่วมจากคนดูที่มีต่อผลงานออกมา
ผสมผสานกับฉากหลังที่เรียบง่าย ทำให้ผลงานของวิษณุพงษ์ดูร่วมสมัยและมีเอกลักษณ์

Love...illusion
Seeing the world through rose-coloured glasses... This expression may be familiar to some people. By looking at the world with an influenced mind, we sometimes miss the objective reality. When we are in love, everything seems beautiful; yet when the love has changed, would we be able to see the reality in its true form?
Untrue Love exhibition by Widsanupong Noonun marks his return to solo exhibition in almost7years.
This time, Noonun brings forward a topic that we are all familiar with, and may have experienced it in one way or another. Having built up his experience in both work and life, Noonun’s reflection of the human nature displays more layers and dimensions than his past works.
Noonun creates canvases made of sculpted fibre glass before he swiftly paints with his sure hands and meticulous painterly skills. His low and high reliefs become alive and their shadows change according to the surrounding lights.
If paintings are records of moments in the past, Noonun’s sculptural works are the records of the present moment that, like the human hearts, are always ready to transform depending on their environments.
Noonun’s play of light and shadow in his works contain elements that are reminiscent of arts from the Baroque period, with his dramatic use of light and shadow, chiaruscuro, drawing out the emotions of the viewers at the peak of a moment. His understanding of art historical references, together with his contemporary sense of aesthetics, has given Noonun’s works unmistakable characteristics.
In this exhibition, Noonun focuses his interest to the moment of change, a state of transitioning: when the past becomes the present; when traditional becomes contemporary; the line between flat and creases; the point when a candle becomes smoke; the moment when the love is transforming. This series of works serve as reminders for us to look and to see; to distinguish between the reality and the traces of memories...
The exhibition will be open to the public continually from 19 November to 30 December 2016 on the opening days and during the opening hours of the center. (Tuesday-Saturday : 10:00-17:30 and Sunday : 12:00-18:00).
