"สนธยาแห่งคาราโอเกะ"
นิทรรศการโดย ทวีวิทย์ กิจธนสุนทร
จัดแสดงตั้งแต่ วันที่ 2-31 กรกฎาคม 2559 วันอังคาร-อาทิตย์ 10.00-21.00 น. ณ พีเพิลส์ แกลเลอรี่ ห้อง P1 หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (เข้าชมฟรี)
เปิดนิทรรศการ วันเสาร์ที่ 2 กรกฎาคม 2559 เวลา 15.30 น.
"ทุกพื้นที่ ทุกสถานที่ มักแฝงมุมมองที่หลากหลาย หากใคร่ครวญคิดพิจารณาอย่างเข้าใจ"
ร้านคาราโอเกะริมทางต่างๆในเมืองหลวงเป็นเสหมือน พื้นที่สีเทาที่มีลักษณะเฉพาะ ซึ่งอบอวลด้วยบรรยากาศของสีแสงจากหลอดนีออน เต็มไปด้วยความลึกลับผสมกับความเย้ายวนชวนอิโรติก แต่ในทางกลับกันก็ยังแฝงไปด้วยความเศร้า ความเปลี่ยวเหงาและเดียวดาย ผสมผสานกันอย่างชวนสนธยา
สภาวะที่กล่าวมาข้างต้น ได้กระตุ้นให้ศิลปินสร้างสรรค์ภาพที่ขับเน้นแสงสีบรรยากาศของพื้นที่ภายนอกและภายในร้านคาราโอเกะริมทางต่างๆ ผ่านผลงานภาพถ่าย ภาพเคลื่อนไหว และวัตถุนีออนไลท์ อันเป็นภาพแทนของพื้นที่เฉพาะให้ปรากฏถึงการใคร่ครวญชวนพิจารณา เพื่อกระตุ้นให้ผู้ชมเกิดการตะหนักคิดและสร้างความเข้าใจถึงนัยยะ ความหมายแฝงภายใต้ระบบการแลกเปลี่ยนของสังคมร่วมสมัยในปัจจุบัน ผ่านความคิดและประสบการณ์ของแต่ละบุคคลเป็นสำคัญ

"There are varied perspectives hidden in every place and every area.
All it needs is your understanding contemplation."
The karaoke bars on the street sides of it to a unique grey-area saturated with the light and colors of the neon lamps, filled with the mixed glamor and mysteries erotically whereas hidden with the mixed sorrows and loneliness of the twilight zone.
The state as mentioned above triggered me into creating the highlighted image of light and colors outside-inside the karaoke bars through the photos, videos and neon light object.
These works, the artist’s main purpose was to focus on creating the representation of specific area to appear as the suggestive contemplation, encouraging the viewers to reflect and understand the implications of hidden meanings under the exchange system of today’s contemporary society through the individual thoughts and experiences as essential.
