'Emotion As Reason'

Within the learning process, generally we are taught to control or limit our emotions and give more reasons which are suited to the modern lifestyle. However, in our real life, not all situations can be solved with reasons; some go beyond reasons. 

'Emotion As Reason' by Jarasporn Chumsri, she reconsiders emotions through paintings. She delivers her expressions through semi-abstract forms. The processes are not fixed with reasons but follow the harmony of reasons and emotions which are the core ideas of this exhibition. 

In this exhibition, Jarasporn slowly changes from using online images; her method of creativity for several years, to lifelong memories especially those in the old days that she almost forgets but reappears on her 22th birthday on October 13, 2016. To recall those memories shows her personal attitudes rather than others' that she previously presented. The paintings that she have been painted for one year in this exhibition reflect everything in the life of this young painter toward His Majesty that she closely called 'Father'.

ภายใต้กระบวนการเรียนรู้โดยทั่วไปนั้น ผู้คนถูกสอนให้ควบคุมอารมณ์หรือแสดงอารมณ์ให้น้อยที่สุด พร้อมกับใช้ความคิดให้มากกว่า นี่ดูจะสมเหตุสมผลและสอดคล้องกับชีวิตในปัจจุบันที่ดำเนินไปบนความเป็นสมัยใหม่ หากแต่ในชีวิตจริงของคนเรานั้น แน่นอนที่ว่าไม่ใช่ว่าทุกเรื่องจะเป็นเหตุเป็นผลไปเสียทั้งหมด บางเรื่องมันดำเนินไปนอกเหนือเหตุและผล 

นิทรรศการ รู้สึก นึก คิด โดยศิลปินหญิง จรัสพร ชุมศรี ที่เธอหยิบเอาประเด็นของความรู้สึกมาทบทวนผ่านงานจิตรกรรมผ่านการสำแดงอารมณ์ที่ปรากฏออกมาในลักษณะกึ่งนามธรรม การไม่เข้าไปคิดให้ทุกอย่างเป็นเหตุเป็นผล แต่ตามหาเรื่องราวที่ดำเนินไปทั้งบนความมีเหตุมีผลแต่ในเวลาเดียวกันก็ดำเนินไปภายใต้ความรู้สึกภายในควบคู่กันไปพร้อมๆ กัน นี่เป็นแก่นแกนของนิทรรศการในครั้งนี้ 

บนเรื่องราวของความรู้สึกนี้จรัสพรค่อยๆ เดินออกจากการสร้างจิตรกรรมจากภาพที่เกิดบนสื่อออนไลน์ที่เธอสร้างสรรค์ในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมาไปสู่ภาพของความทรงจำตลอดชีวิตของเธอเอง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งความทรงจำในวัยเยาว์ซึ่งล้วนแต่เป็นภาพที่เธอหลงลืมไปเกือบหมดสิ้นแล้วหากไม่มีเหตุการณ์วันที่ 13 ตุลาคม 2559 ซึ่งเป็นวันเกิดครบรอบ 22 ปีของเธอ การกลับไปหาความทรงจำเหล่านั้นจึงมีความหมายของความเป็นส่วนตัวมากกว่าที่จะพูดถึงเรื่องราวของผู้อื่นอย่างเช่นทุกครั้งที่เธอทำ ผลงานจิตรกรรมตลอดหนึ่งปีที่ปรากฏในนิทรรศการสะท้อนภาพทุกอย่างในชีวิตของจิตรกรหญิงคนนี้กับบุคคลที่เธอเรียกอย่างสนิทใจว่า "พ่อ"
