Thai people are facing growing insecurity in a world increasingly exposed to risks from all directions. Global external risks stem from geopolitical uncertainty, while technology and AI are transforming the nature of employment. The rise of cyber threats, together with the cross-border impacts of climate change, is creating new and increasingly complex challenges.

Domestic challenges are also intensifying. Thailand has entered a “super-aged society,” putting increasing pressure on the adequacy of welfare systems, pensions, and long-term care.

These developments are contributing to a growing number of vulnerable people and placing Thai people at risk of losing the security and stability of their lives on a scale never seen before.
