เพื่อตอกย้ำภาพลักษณ์การเป็นโรงแรมที่โดดเด่นด้านดีไซน์และไลฟ์สไตล์ โรงแรมโซฟิเทล โซ แบงคอก จัดการประกวด Wanderlust Art & Fashion Contest for Young Talents ขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกเพื่อสนับสนุนดีไซน์เนอร์หน้าใหม่ โดยเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีส่งผลงานเข้าประกวด ภายใต้ธีม “Wanderlust” โดยผลงานที่ได้รับคัดเลือกจะได้นำมาจัดแสดงในงานนิทรรศการศิลปะและแฟชั่นประจำปี ของโรงแรมฯ เป็นเวลา 2 เดือนเต็ม ตั้งแต่ สิงหาคม ถึง กันยายน พ.ศ.2559
มิสเตอร์อีฟ มูดรี ผู้จัดการทั่วไป โรงแรมโซฟิเทล โซ แบงคอก กล่าวว่า “กรุงเทพฯ เป็นเมืองที่เต็มไปด้วยนักออกแบบรุ่นใหม่ที่มีพรสววรค์ แต่ยังขาดพื้นที่และผู้สนับสนุน ในปีนี้ทางโรงแรมโซฟิเทล โซ แบงคอก ต้องการที่จะช่วยผลักดันให้นักศึกษาเหล่านี้ได้มีโอกาสแสดงความคิดสร้างสรรค์ผ่านผลงานศิลปะและแฟชั่น ภายใต้ธีม “Wanderlust” โดยผลงานที่ได้รับคัดเลือกทั้งหมด 4 ชิ้น จะได้นำมาจัดแสดงภายในบริเวณโรงแรมโซฟิเทล โซ แบงคอก”
ในการประกวดครั้งนี้ผลงานทุกชิ้นจะได้รับการคัดเลือกจากกรรมการผู้เชี่ยวชาญในแวดวงการออกแบบ และผลงานที่ผ่านเข้ารอบสุดท้ายทั้งหมด 4 ชิ้น จะได้รับรางวัลเป็นบัตรกำนัลจากโรงแรมโซฟิเทล โซ แบงคอก พร้อมโอกาสในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานออกแบบให้กลายเป็นชิ้นผลงานศิลปะ เพื่อนำมาจัดแสดงในงานนิทรรศการศิลปะและแฟชั่น Wanderlustโดยผลงานแต่ละชิ้นจะได้รับเงินสนับสนุน จำนวน 10,000 บาท
ธีมการประกวด "Wanderlust"
“Wanderlust” หมายถึง การหลีกหนีจากชีวิตในเมือง ออกไปท่องเที่ยว เข้าหาธรรมชาติและศิลปะ ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับแนวความคิดของโรงแรมโซฟิเทล โซ แบงคอก ที่แม้จะตั้งอยู่ใจกลางมหานครกรุงเทพฯ แต่สามารถมองเห็นวิวอันเขียวชอุ่มของสวนลุมพินี พร้อมทั้งยังมีการออกแบบโดยได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากธาตุทั้ง 5 ได้แก่ น้ำ ดิน ไม้ โลหะ และ ไฟ จึงเปรียบเป็นสถานที่ให้ผู้คนที่ต้องการหลีกหนีความวุ่นวายจากชีวิตในเมืองมาผ่อนคลายเสมือนอยู่ท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ โดยผู้เข้าแข่งขันสามารถเลือกออกแบบผลงานภายใต้แนวคิดดังต่อไปนี้:
◦ การหลีกหนีความวุ่นวายของชีวิตในเมือง
◦ การเดินทางเพื่อค้นหาประสบการณ์ใหม่
◦ เทรนด์ของแฟชั่นและงานศิลปะที่กำลังมาแรงในปี 2559
◦ โรงแรมโซฟิเทล โซ แบงคอก เปรียบเสมือนสถานที่ Wanderlust ที่ให้ทุกคนเข้ามาค้นพบแรงบันดาลใจใหม่ๆ
กฏกติกาการเข้าร่วมประกวด
◦ ไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายในการเข้าร่วมประกวด
◦ ผู้เข้าประกวดจะต้องเป็นนักศึกษาที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในระดับปริญญาตรีเท่านั้น
◦ ผู้เข้าแข่งขันสามารถเข้าประกวดได้ทั้งแบบบุคคลหรือเป็นทีม 1 – 3 คน
◦ สิ่งที่ผู้เข้าแข่งขันต้องส่งเข้าประกวด
1. แบบฟอร์มการสมัคร – ข้อมูลของสมาชิกในทีม และ คำบรรยายผลงาน

2. ผลงานการออกแบบหรือภาพสเก็ตช์บนกระดาษขนาดA3 (สัดส่วนของสถานที่จัดแสดงผลงานจริง กว้าง 3 ม. ลึก 2 ม. และ สูง 2.60 ม.) หรือส่งเป็นไฟล์ความละเอียดสูง 3MB ขึ้นไป
3. รูปถ่ายของสมาชิกในทีม (รูปหมู่) ความละเอียดสูง 3 MB ขึ้นไป

เปิดรับผลงานตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 เมษายน ถึง 25 พฤษภาคม 2559 เท่านั้น โดยทางโรงแรมฯจะประกาศผลผู้ชนะทั้ง 4 ทีมในวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2559 และงานนิทรรศการศิลปะและแฟชั่น Wanderlust จะจัดแสดงที่บริเวณต่างๆของ โรงแรมโซฟิเทล โซ แบงคอก ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 สิงหาคม ถึงวันที่ 30 กันยายน 2559

Cementing Sofitel So Bangkok’s key brand pillars of creativity and design, the hotel is introducing for the first time a contest to unearth and support fresh undergraduate talent in the City of Angels. Winners will have their creations displayed at the 4th annual Art & Fashion Exhibition at Sofitel So Bangkok from August to September 2016.
“This city is positively humming with creative young energy that needs constant new ways to express itself. This year, we will open up our hotel as a canvas for students to use their voice through art and fashion. Sofitel So Bangkok will be offering four venues around the hotel for undergraduates to offer their take on the theme of ‘Wanderlust’,” said Mr. Yves Mudry, General Manager of Sofitel So Bangkok.
An expert panel of judges comprising art professors and well-known designers will assess each entry, with four finalists winning the chance to bring their concepts to life. Along with Sofitel So Bangkok goodie vouchers, prize money of THB 10,000 will also be awarded to each of the finalists to go towards the resources needed in producing their final art piece, which will be showcased at the Wanderlust Art & Fashion Exhibition later in the year.
Contest theme: “Wanderlust”
An irresistible desire to travel is what keeps moving, which is why Sofitel So Bangkok chose this year’s theme of “Wanderlust” – it’s the same yearning for new experiences that keeps Bangkok on the crest of a creative wave. Overlooking lush Lumpini Park, Sofitel So Bangkok is a destination hotel providing urban dwellers an escape to nature with designs inspired by the five elements (Water, Earth, Wood, Metal, and Fire). With that in mind, contestants can interpret the “Wanderlust” theme based on any of the following concepts:
o Escaping the hustle and bustle of the city
o Travel and discovery
o A highlight 2016 fashion/art trend
o Enticing people to come to the destination hotel and explore Wanderlust within the city
Terms & conditions
o There is no fee for entering the contest
o Entrants must be current Bachelor Degree students
o Each entry can be submitted by a group of 1 – 3 students
o Materials to be submitted:
1. Download contest information and fill up application form: http://bit.ly/wanderlustcontest
2. Submitted sketch work must be submitted on a single page of A3 paper or a file (at least 3MB)
3. Submitted work must fit within the exhibiting space of 3 metres (width) x 2 metres (depth) x 2.6 metres (height)
4. Each entry must be accompanied by profile picture of the designers (at least 3MB)
5. Application form and materials must be submitted to Sofitel So Bangkok by post or upload files through Dropbox or WeTransfer to Khun Naetirynn at H6835-CO4@sofitel.com within the deadline
The contest runs from 1 April to 25 May 2016, with the winners announced on 31 May 2016. The “Wanderlust” art & fashion exhibition will take over Sofitel So Bangkok from 1 August to 30 September 2016.
