Low Fat Art Fest เสนองานศิลปะสื่อผสมสร้างสรรค์โดยฝีมือของศิลปินไทย และญี่ปุ่นในชื่อว่า “ Bloom / Wilt / Beauty ” โดยศิลปินและผู้กำกับละครเวทีไทย นิกร แซ่ตั้ง ร่วมกับนักแสดง และนักจัดดอกไม้ชาวญี่ปุ่น ทาคาชิ โอกิโตะ กำกับภาพเคลื่อนไหวโดย ศรัณย์ เศมาทอง

“Bloom / Wilt / Beauty” คือการแสดงอันว่าด้วยการระลึกถึงธรรมชาติ และความเป็นไป ที่ตกผลึกออกมาในรูปแบบของศิลปะการแสดง นับเป็นการจับคู่กันระหว่างศิลปินจากสองวัฒนธรรม ที่มีความชอบส่วนตัวคล้ายคลึงกัน นิกร แซ่ตั้ง ศิลปินไทยผู้ทำงานในวงกรละครมายาวนานทั้งในฐานะนักแสดง และผู้กำกับ ที่สำคัญของไทย ค้นพบความสงบในศิลปะการจัดตู้ไม้น้ำ ซึ่งความหลงใหลนี้ถูกขับเคลื่อนออกมาให้เห็นได้ในบางส่วนในผลงานกำกับของเขาก่อนหน้านี้ของเขา แต่ครั้งนี่เป็นครั้งแรกที่ศิลปะแขนงนี้จะถูกนำมาถ่ายทอดบนบริบทของศิลปะร่วมสมัยอย่างเต็มรูปแบบ

ทาเคชิ โอกิโตะ นายแบบ นักแสดงมืออาชีพ และนักจัดดอกไม้ ที่มีโอกาสได้แสดงความสามารถในการแสดงผ่านเทศกาล Low Fat Art Fest 2015 ในฐานะหนึ่งในนักแสดงจากกลุ่มละคร Theatre Company shelf ของการแสดงที่มีชื่อว่า “Deprived” เช่นเดียวกันกับนิกร ทาคาชิเองก็มีพื้นฐานความเชี่ยวชาญในการจัดดอกไม้ เมื่อไม่ได้ทำงานแสดง

ในงานศิลปะชิ้นนี้ ตัวงานจะถูกเสนอผ่านกระบวนการที่สงบและเชื่องช้า ที่สะท้อนให้เห็นถึง ความงามของธรรมชาติ ที่สวนทางกัน หนึ่งความงอกงามและ อีกหนึ่งค่อยเหี่ยวเฉา ผ่านการสายตาสำรวจ และนำเสนอภาพบนเวทีโดยศรัณย์ เศมาทอง การร่วมมือจากทั้ง 3 ศิลปินนี้คือต้องการค้นหาความเป็นไปได้ของรูปแบบศิลปะใหม่ใหม่ ผ่านการปะทะและผสานของวัฒนธรรมที่ละเอียดอ่อน เรื่องเล่า ความเชื่อ นำมาเชื่อมร้อยลงบนงานชิ้นนี้

Low Fat Art Fest is pleased to present you a Thai-Japanese collaborative mixed-media performance “Bloom / Wilt / Beauty”, by Thai renown theatre director Nikorn Sae-Tang and Japanese actor and florist Takashi Okito, with artistic direction by Sarun Semathong.

“Bloom / Wilt / Beauty” is artists’ contemplation in nature, crystalized in a form of a performing art. It is a surprised match-up between two artists from two cultures with similar interests. During his years as a Thailand’s important performing artist and director, Nikorn Sae-Tang finds an abode of peace in the art of Aquascape (Aquarium arrangement). The elements of such passion can be observed in minor parts of his previous theatrical works. However, this is the first time his passion in Aquarium is merged and viewed in the perspective of contemporary art, in its full form.

Takashi Okito is long-time actor, model and florist, his talent is introduced to Low Fat Art Fest through his 2015 performance as part of Theatre Company shelf’s “Deprived” in the first edition of the festival. Similar to Nikorn’s, Takashi has a background of flower arrangement off-screen/stage.

The audience will be presented with a meditative progress and tales which recalls the nature of life through the contrasted flow of growing and dying. Observed and orchestrated live by the operator Sarun Semathong who plays the role of the conducting, leading the outcome to the eyes of the audience. The match-up is an attempt to seek the new possible form of a performing art piece via the clash and mingle between cultures, tales, and beliefs.
