Puang Mahot is a traditional decorative item, often found, hung on flag poles during festive occasions in Thai temples. It is made by folding pieces of paper and cutting them to create patterns, then layering and attaching them together with threads, resulting in a complex and colourful 3D sculpture when suspended.
