In the early days of dance clubs, faceless DJs played music on 2 turntables and vinyl to crowds who appreciated good music and wanted to dance. Nite Ride aims to return to those times, when the DJ took a backseat to the music. On Friday, June 24, resident DJs Boogie G & Dangdut Banget will spin modern funk, boogie, disco & electro funk at Studio Lam for those who want to experience a classic dance party vibe. This month's edition will also feature special guest Maarten Goetheer (Salgado) Come take a ride!

Maarten Goetheer (Salgado) Bio:

Groomed in the vibrant surroundings of the Amsterdam nightlife, Maarten Goetheer
was drawn towards his profession at a young age and won his first DJ contest at the
age of 17 (DMC). His emerging talents soon earned him a DJ residency at the hotspot “Bitterzoet” in the centre of Amsterdam.


Growing up in a musical household (his father is a jazz pianist) Maarten was exposed to a wide range of music. His inspirations range from Bossa Nova, Afrobeat, Deep House, Samba, Broken Beat to the Disco of the late Studio 54.

Maarten cites Larry Levan, Dimitri from Paris, Danny Krivit, Todd Terry, 'Lil' Louie Vega and Francois K. as the key DJ’s that made him want to follow them in their footsteps.
