ABOUT ARTIST
Hom Nguyen is a self-taught artist renowned for his larger-than-life portraits, which capture the complexity of human emotion. Through the masterful and sometimes unconventional use of charcoal, gouache felt, oil, and pen, Nguyen explores the essence of human feelings through a combination of lines and color.
Highlights of the upcoming exhibition at SO Sofitel Bangkok include TRAJECTOIRE – an installation of ink media works on canvas as exhibited at A2Z Gallery in Paris and Hong Kong, as well as his own personal exhibition in Bali; and LIFE’S DOODLE – a unique series of portraits exploring the depth and complexity of human emotions, created exclusively for SO Sofitel Bangkok.
Nguyen’s work has previously been showcased at international art fairs in Singapore, Hong Kong and Paris, and in the latter he was awarded the “Favorite Artist of Paris Art Fair 2016”. He has also held personal exhibitions in Tokyo and Marrakech.
