การออกแบบอย่างมีจุดหมาย การออกแบบคือการตัดสินใจ การออกแบบใช่เพียงเพื่อให้ได้ผลลัพธ์ แต่การออกแบบ คือ การช่วยให้การตัดสินใจในชีวิต รวมถึงการแก้ปัญหาเรื่องต่างๆ รวมถึงเมืองดีขึ้นได้อย่างไร
ท่ามกลางปัญหาชีวิต ในเมืองที่กำลังจะจม เราทำอะไรได้บ้าง กับ การใช้การออกแบบในการแก้ปัญหา ท่ามกลาง สภาวะการเปลี่ยนแปลงภูมิอากาศ และปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในปัจจุบัน จะทำอย่างไรให้เมือง เป็นเมืองน่าอยู่ หากนักออกแบบสามารถออกแบบสิ่งก่อสร้างต่างๆ ได้โดยคำนึงและตระหนักถึงผลกระทบที่มีต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม เมืองจะมีพื้นที่สีเขียวมากขึ้นท่ามกลางตึกสูง พื้นที่สีเขียวจะช่วยบำบัดเมืองบำบัดคนบำบัดเมือง สร้างสิ่งแวดล้อม และสร้างสรรค์สังคมไปด้วยกัน

กชกร วรอาคม ผู้ก่อตั้ง บริษัท แลนด์โปรเซส จำกัด และผู้ก่อตั้งองค์กรประกอบการทางสังคม (SE) ปฏิบัติการเมืองพรุน (Porous City Network) ได้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานการออกแบบนวัตกรรมงานภูมิสถาปัตยกรรม ที่ได้รับรางวัลทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศต่างๆที่สร้างให้เมืองมีความยืดหยุ่นพร้อมเผชิญปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม ในสภาวะภูมิอากาศที่เปลี่ยนแปลง ได้แก่ อุทยาน 100 ปี จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และถนนจุฬา 100 ปี, อุทยานเรียนรู้ป๋วย 100 ปี มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต, สวนบำบัดลอยฟ้า อาคารสมเด็จพระเทพรัตน์ โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี ๆลๆ
กชกร จบการศึกษาปริญญาตรี จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ภูมิสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์บัณฑิต (ภส.บ.เกียรตินิยมเหรียญทอง) และจบปริญญาโทจาก Harvard University ในสาขา Master of Landscape Architecture (MLAII.)

Among the problems in the present, how to make our city a good city? We can design various structural but we should concern for the impact on the environment. The concept of Green Infrastructure is to provide green space to help the city face climate change and environmental issues. Including to help create good health and improve quality of life for people. If a designer be aware of the impact on the environment, the city will have more green space amidst many tall buildings. Green areas will help city heal peoples, creating the better environment and provide socializing space. However, the design must concern about the nature and environment limitation.
Good design is not just a beautiful building and structure. It solves the environmental problem and improves the quality of life for people. Bangkok is a city that doesn’t give priority to public spaces, playgrounds or green spaces. Creating a good green space and bring people close to the nature also makes people happy. Living in green city makes people recover faster.
We created a green area which have the ability to make people and the city relax. Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center, Ramathibodi Hospital is one example for the concept of 'Healing the people, Healing the City'. Which concerns about the water issues and combining the green space to deal with climate change and wellbeing for people today. With the negative space in the city today, it makes people sick. Not only physical illness, also mental illness too. If we have a green area,
Let the city create opportunities for nature. Insert an event or something that creates more positive force, it will help create a good atmosphere in society and for people to realize that how the garden is important in our life.

Kotchakorn Voraakhom is a landscape architect who works on building green public space that tackles climate change.
Kotchakorn Voraakhom is the founder and CEO of Porous City Network, a landscape architecture social enterprise working to increase urban resilience in her hometown, Bangkok, Thailand. Her passion is solving urban ecological problems through landscape architectural design. Kotchakorn Voraakhom previously founded and was the lead designer for the award-winning landscape architecture and urban design firm Landprocess, focused on improving Thailand's productive public space. She has worked on notable projects including a major urban ecological park at the heart of Bangkok and a number of innovative public landscape designs.
Kotchakorn Voraakhom is also a highly active campaigner for public green space and is a design consultant for the Redevelopment Bangkok in celebrating its 250th anniversary. During graduate school, she co-founded the Koungkuey Design Initiative, an international partnership that works with communities in difficult landscapes to design and rebuild public space through a participatory process. She is a TED Fellow, Echoing Green Climate Fellow, Atlantic Fellow and Asia Foundation Development Fellow. She received her master's in landscape architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design
