DAN CHALK is a 31 year old rapper and lover of all creative arts. Born and raised in Manchester, UK he now resides in Bangkok. From age 10 he grew up with a love of hip-hop music and by age 16 started to write raps, he has been producing and recording ever since, now with 2 LP's and an EP released. He is also part of Manchester hip-hop collective The Natural Curriculum. It was his interest in hip-hop and sampling music for making beats that opened up his taste for many genres of music such as Jazz, Soul, Reggae, Prog Rock and old movie soundtracks. Through this love of music, this month he brings you 4 movies/documentaries about 4 different genres starting with 24-hour party people, a film that tells the story of Manchester's popular music culture from 1976 to 1992.
