’Rethinking Plastics – Circular Economy Solutions to Marine Litter’ supports a transition towards a circular economy for plastics in East and Southeast Asia to contribute to a significant reduction of marine litter. The project is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Expertise France. China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam as well as Japan and Singapore for selected topics are among the partner countries. In Thailand, the project cooperates closely with the Pollution Control Department (PCD) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE).
