Akimbo is a DJ, producer, and drummer based in Seoul. He attended RBMA Madrid, has been featured on Boiler Room and Worldwide FM, and has had his productions played on NTS and Rinse.

A strong sense of rhythm, along with years of traveling the world and collecting music, come together in his energetic and fun DJ style. His selections are a mix of high-energy sounds from Africa, South America, and nooks and crannies all over the globe.
He recently founded the new label Tonal Unity, with an initial focus on post-tribal experimentation influenced by Asian musical traditions. He's been recording and collaborating with Korean traditional musicians for recent projects, and will continue this into 2017. His first 12" will be released in spring by the new Berlin label Third Kultur, along with multiple upcoming singles in the works.
