About Speaker

Elisa Chiodo

(The course leader of the Master in Visual Brand Design, Dormus Academy, Italy)

Elisa Chiodo is a visual designer with an experience that ranges from projects with agencies to teaching and academic research.

After graduating in Communication Design in 2008, she received her Ph.D. cum Laude in 2013 at the School of Design in the Politecnico di Milano. During her Ph.D. internship Elisa had the opportunity to work at the MobileLife Research Centre in the Stockholm University and at the metaLab in Harvard University. She presented her research and didactic results in several conferences and publications.

For more than eight years Elisa collaborated with the Master Degree course in Communication Design at the Politecnico di Milano. Her interests are in designing systems and in innovative multimedia languages able to engage users. Apart from this, Elisa works for several communication agencies as a freelance consultant specializing in concept, development and management of communication projects that are able to offer strong and engaging brand experiences.

During her training and professional career she had the opportunity to learn techniques, languages and research methods in order to design different types of artifacts and communication devices: from the fundamental visual tools to interactive platforms and narrative spaces.
