The Storage
The process of creating human memory occurs from the receiving information and transforming the memory through the mechanism of the brain, which can be remembered in the short term and later developed into a long term memory. When we use that information repeatedly, it accumulates to create memory consistency that is packed into the storage area inside our brains. It's a storehouse where stories or occurrences are kept - whether they are good or bad stories - even those ones that we don't want to remember. The difficult thing is to erase the memories that we don't want in this storage.
‘The Storage’ is made out of inspiration from these memories. I asked myself, if we weren’t able to erase the past, how could we live with it, or how could we continue to live? Bringing out the memories to make room for new ones by decreasing clarity through the artistic process is a way to fade those memories away and to let go. By presenting the perspective of learning to accept and to live understandingly in the present, we can be ready to store new memories into the storage.
