A highly conceptual performance offers the spectator to experience 15 minutes alone with the artist, sitting in a chair across her. Lodging in the intimacy of the artist’s private space, the observer learns about the pain of aging and what it’s like to die.
This is the first performance in Asia by the Swiss artist Marie-Caroline Hominal whose works have been showing in theatres and galleries in Zurich, Basel, Berlin, New York City, Los Angeles, Paris and more. Her practice includes video, songwriting, music, choreography, and performance. This is a rare chance for an audience in Bangkok to experience such performance in this method.

“The Triumph of Fame” is one of a collection of six poems by Petrarch (1304-1374) titled “I Trionfi”, which describe the phases of life by opposing virtues in duels: Fame wins over Death but is defeated by Time and Eternity.
In the backstage of a theatre, beyond the scenery, wellcomes Marie-Caroline Hominal one guest at a time. In this performance the artist strips down the codes of theatrical artifice in a phantasmagorical and intimate one-to-one encounter.
