Continuing the photography exhibition by Japanese skater Ryo Ogawa, documenting Bangkok city buses and its people, this is special event with live painting and DJs as part of Galleries Night BKK, organised by French Embassy of Thailand.

Ryo Ogawa examines the working buses of Bangkok, the individuals who depend on them those who operate them. This aging and unglamourous transportation infrastructure and the workers who run it are responsible for carrying everyday people around Bangkok, an often overlooked aspect of Thai life.

BOOGIE G
Boogie G is the promoter / DJ behind the Nite Ride party which aims to promote the Modern Funk / Boogie / Disco sound in Bangkok and further in Asia. He’s been a serious digger with a true dedication to vinyl for the last two decades.

GAO LAO
After moving from Japan to Bangkok in 2011, he connected with the Vacancy crew who all share a love of digging for records and good music. Continuing his love for parties and good times he co-founded the notorious High Time party, specializing in soul, funk, tropical, disco, afro, boogie, bass, drums, cowbells, etc. The best sleazy back soi disco vibes this side of both equators.
He would be invited to various clubs and bars around Bangkok and played at Festival like WonderFruit 2016, WonderFruit 2017, Paradise Island Festival 2017. He has also joined Giant Swing Crew which organizing party for 7 years in Bangkok.

HILOYA ASARI
Known for his geometrical style as a trademark, Hiloya Asari is a starter for LOVOL art project. He had started his career in graphic design from 1997 and created a design unit in 2014 called 5JIGEN. During this time he had worked on album artworks for DMC World Champion DJ Kentaro (Ninja tunes) as well as designed textiles for apparel companies such as Mizuno and United Arrows. His first international solo exhibition was held in Bangkok, Thailand in early 2015. Following his success, he had created his own art project called LOVOL where he has an exhibition hall in Yokohama. In 2016, he will continue to create new art in Bangkok, Thailand.

RYO OGAWA
Born and raised in Nagoya, Japan, Ryo is a young photographer living in Bangkok. After coming to Thailand to learn English, he fell in love with the city and its people. Currently working for as a videographer for Thai skateboarding company Preduce, he walks in the city with his board and shoots his daily life. Making photography and video is his way to share his vision of this world. Ryo’s work reminds people what they forgot, to inspect what is around them with a curious eye.
