Slum Disco Soundsystem is the collaborative brainchild of two local Bangkok DJs who are both successful in their own rights. One half has a DJ agency providing artists to some of Bangkok’s most prestigious venues, and the other runs a DJ & music production school for budding musicians who want to get into electronic music.

The duo comprises of a British DJ of Thai descent, Tek Harrington, and Bangkok-born-and-bred Chote. They have appeared at all of Thailand’s premier events including Kolour, Wonderfruit, Karma Klique, and Mystic Valley, as well as internationally at Hanoi’s Savage, W Hotel in Hong Kong, and Quest Festival in Vietnam.

The ethos behind Slum Disco Soundsystem is simple: A no-nonsense straight up positive vibe without taking anything too seriously while breaking down social barriers through music with a few ‘hands in the air’ and ‘cut out the music and let the crowd sing’ moments. Expect an evening filled with uplifting vibes spanning from Disco, to Afro, to House, to Techno, with a liberal sprinkling of acid bass lines throughout.
