>> Telemachus
(soundcloud.com/chieftelemachus)
"One of those slightly obscure figures who has helped British music move along more than most people will probably ever know." The Guardian.
Growing up in South London, Telemachus soaked up Choice FM & underground radio, with Hip-Hop, Jungle, Dancehall, 2 Step & Grime being beamed into his kitchen. As ‘Chemo’, he spent years as a producer & sound engineer in the UK scene, working with such cult icons such as Jehst, Roots Manuva, & High Focus. Telemachus also travelled the world in search of diverse cultures and music. He lived in the village of Mirleft in Morocco for 2 months in order to surf & make an album (simply titled 'Telemachus In Morocco'). Q Magazine called his work “masterfully soothing”, & The Quietus nominated it for ‘Album of the year’. Neil Kulkarni (DJ Magazine / Guardian) also called it “One of the greatest albums of the year”. Living in BKK, Telemachus has been part of the High Time party crew, bringing exciting unconventional sounds to Bangkok's dancefloors for the past few years.

>> Vik Sohonie
(soundcloud.com/ostinatorecords)
"An expertly curated experience of one of the late-20th Century’s most thrilling musical encounters." - The Playground UK
In 2015 Vik Sohonie started Ostinato Records to tell in-depth stories revealing lesser known music cultures from across the African continent and its diaspora in the Atlantic & Indian Oceans. Ostinato's releases include music from: Haiti, which won 5 stars from Songlines Magazine as “the most surprising compilation of 2016”; Cape Verde, which sold out in Europe before the release date, was rated “Album of the Week” at Sounds of the Universe record shop in London; and a first of its kind compilation of music from Somalia before the civil war. Ostinato Records' releases are a blend of traditional and modern, and everything in between, with a focus on rhythmic complexity and sophisticated musicianship to shatter your perceptions of where in the world the best music was actually made.

>> Bhayology
(soundcloud.com/bhayology)
Starting as a radio DJ in NYC, Bhayology has been organizing & DJing parties to expose dancefloors to exciting new tropical bass & global club music from Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean over the last 6 years in San Francisco, Jakarta, and Singapore. As a resident DJ of the wildly eclectic Tropical Temple party series, he has cultivated a unique sound that connects seemingly disparate digital sub-genres from the global south like azonto, nu-cumbia, tribal guarachero, soca, afrohouse, coupe d'ecale, baile funk, and kuduro into a seamless and spiritual dancefloor journey for his audiences. Bhayology has since brought his sound to some of the most iconic music venues & festivals in Asia, such as Ce La Vi and Neon Lights Festival, and to cities around the world including London, New York City, Maputo, Nairobi & Kampala. His new label Afutro seeks to provide a platform for young emerging digital/electronic producers from the Global South to market their unique music globally.
