The Thai Health Center facilitates social interaction and knowledge exchange in order to increase people’s sense of well-being, beginning with individuals and expanding to families, communities, and the wider society.
The Center comprises one building, a traditional Thai house movable sun protection to maintain a comfortable temperature all day long. The house’s roofing material is highly reflective, which also helps to reduce heat transfer. More, the building is powered by solar cells and has an integrated rainwater collection system. There is a modern waste and wastewater treatment plant, an outdoor airflow arrangement, and a rooftop garden in which to relax.
Sensors alert occupants when carbon dioxide concentrations exceeds norms in crowded meeting rooms, automatically admitting fresh air from outdoors. Finally, the rooms are designed to make maximum use of natural light.
