ARTIST STATEMENT
Lemur Land is an ongoing, multimedia project I started working on last year. In 2016 my left arm was injured, and I was advised by doctors to take a period of time off from my daily drawing. I asked my friend Demonslayer based in HCM, Vietnam to send me some beats. Episode 1 of this ongoing series will debut at Jam Cafe on March 18th. I will also show conceptional artwork from Lemur Land and explain this supernatural love story, in addition, we will film a segment for an upcoming episode called 'Prancer'. Please join us..7 til late

EPISODE 1: PALMER
A supernatural love story in an alternative timeline. Each song features friends which reference the storyline 'Palmer' featuring Petchy OD 1 and Zoe Coppen. Mixed by Keezy, and beats by Demonslayer. Make up by PiM COSMETIX.

CHIP7
Chris Kattiya-Aree, born in Queens, New York. CHIP7 is an American painter living and working in Bangkok. A constant doodler as a child, in late 1994, he became active in a newer youth activity sweeping his New Jersey apartment complex, the subculture movement known as graffiti. He fell in love with the sheer freedom of communicating ideas with the public under the cover of darkness. Having ventured to his father's home city of Bangkok a number of times over the years, he first painted a few graffiti pieces there in the summer of 1995. In 1997, he founded the collective MAYHEM, which would make a unique impact on various regions around the United States. As well as being referred as a 'future star' in the recently published ''History of American Graffiti'', representing New Jersey. CHIP7 often uses chroma-depth 3d glasses technology to increase the interactive experience of the onlooker. Shifting his time to a stronger focus on studio work, his mixed media paintings have been exhibited and collected across many American cities such as LA, NY, and Seattle as well as abroad in Hong Kong, China and Antwerp, Belgium. His work has been featured in the books 'Freight Train Graffiti' (Abrams), and 'Broken Windows. New York Graffiti' (Gingko). Plus was part of 'Primary Flight' the large scale outdoor mural series for Art Basel in Miami, and has painted live for Toyota Scion in Philadelphia. He has also produced work for international brands such as Smirnoff, Nike, and Red Bull. Aloft Hotel in Bangkok has a massive outdoor mural on the front that he did, as well as collaborations with Never Say Cutz barber shops across the city. He worked as art director for music videos by DaBoyWay, and Thaitanium which inspired him to start his own MV series.

"Inspired as much by traditional Thai art as futuristic fantasy scapes conjured by his own restless mind. Chip's graffiti is a cultural hybrid that has become his trademark style in recent years, opening doors in other creative and commercial projects"
