Abiding by the mantra “Play what you feel; play what's real,” James Lomax mixes memories and culture into his sound. Lomax draws inspiration from the musical genres of hip hop, R&B, garage style deep house, trance and techno.

In 2010 Lomax founded Good-Natured Sound (GNS) project, whose mission is to share what touches the sonic senses through a dynamic podcast and bouncy parties. Often joining Lomax at the helm of GNS are Aizaz and moe.BPM. Through GNS, Lomax has played notable New York City venues, including Pacha, Sullivan Room, TBA Brooklyn, Public Assembly, and Output.

Lomax has also opened for celebrated mix masters, including Carl Craig, Frankie Knuckles, James Zabiela, Jody Wisternoff, Satoshi Tomiie, Hector Romero, DJ Heather, Justin Martin, Fred Everything, DJ Dan, DJ Sneak, and John Tejada.
