常陸野 ฮิตาชิโนะ (Hitachino) เป็นชื่อจังหวัดหนึ่งในยุคญี่ปุ่นโบราณ ที่โรงเบียร์ได้ก่อตั้งขึ้น โกโนสุ 鴻巣 (Konosu) เป็นชื่อหมู่บ้านที่ต้นตำรับเบียร์ถูกต้ม และตัวที่สอง 巣 แปลความหมายเป็นเนสต์ ในภาษาญี่ปุ่น

The Kiuchi Brewery was established in 1823 as a sake brewery by Kiuchi Gihei, headman of Konosu village in the Ibaraki prefecture. But it’s only in 1996 that the first Hitachino Nest beer was brewed. Now the Kiuchi family is in its 8th generation.
Where does the name Hitachino Nest come from?
常陸野 (Hitachino) is the name of the province in ancient Japan where the brewery was established.
鴻巣 (Konosu) is the name of the village where the beer was born. The second character 巣 literally means “nest” in Japanese.
