今回は久しぶりにMasa Niwayamaも日本から戻ってきてのGiantSwing

【Based on Kyoto】

In 2006, the guitarist Marron(performed in many units such as DUBDUB ON-SENG, dubmarronics, and DateTenryu) and DAICHI(DJ, producer, and track maker) performed for the first time and formed their new unit “Based on Kyoto”.

Their sense has incorporated a variety of music such as house music, electro, ambient, dub, soul, jazz, and rock, which transformed into a dance music unit pursuing a groove re-created in a Japanese style.
While they collaborate with many session musicians, the unit performes mainly in west Japan(Osaka, Kyoto) and also show up at various parties across the country.

In 2009 the unit released the first album and three pieces of 12inch EP.
In 2010 they decided to take a break for two years, and restarted performing at Rainbow party 2012 in Japan.

In 2012 they performed for the first time in Thailand, and also performed in Thailand and Vietnam in 2013.

The unit completed making the second brand new album [New Born From My Roots] in 2014.
and they performed 13 gigs in Thailand and Vietnam during the month of November.
The tour of 2015 in Asia expanded to Thailand, Vietnam Hong Kong and Taiwan. In these four countries. they succeeded a 7-week long tour of 13 performances.
This will be the fifth tour in Asia and a release tour of their new original album.

Their performances have expanded out of Japan to various Asian countries and to the world.
