VolksKraft Ethical Crafts Hub และ มาดี Club for Better Society และเพื่อนๆ ชวนสังคม “ลงมือทำ” ตามแนวทางของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวรัชกาลที่๙ ณ งาน “ทำธรรม” พบปะกับผู้ประกอบการทางสังคมกว่า ด้านงานหัตถศิลป์ อาหาร เกษตรอินทรีย์ และภาคบริการ ที่มีกระบวนการที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากแนวคิดพระราชดำริ ในมุมของความเป็นธรรมมะ ธรรมชาติและความเรียบง่ายธรรมดา ในการยังมีเวิร์คชอปหัตถศิลป์ตลอดงาน เช่น การย้อมสีธรรมชาติ ทอผ้า ปักผ้า ร้อยมาลัยล้วยไม้ วาดหิน เป็นงานที่เหมาะสำหรับทุกวัย ณ สวนครูองุ่น มาลิก ทองหล่อซอย 3 (Root Garden เดิม) ในวันที่ 4-5 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2560

โดยในงาน จะมีการออกร้านของกว่า 30 “Ethical Business” จำหน่ายสินค้าที่ดีต่อผู้บริโภค สังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ทำงานร่วมกับชุมชนจากทั่วประเทศ วงเสวนาแลกเปลี่ยนใน ‘การลงมือธรรม’ ธุรกิจเพื่อสังคม และการทำธุรกิจด้านหัตถศิลป์ที่ดีต่อผู้ผลิตและผู้ใช้สวนกระแส ‘Fast Fashion’ เวิร์คชอปหัตศิลป์รวม 6 กิจกรรมตลอดงานเพื่อให้ผู้เข้าร่วมงานเข้าใจและเห็นคุณค่าของกระบวนการ ‘ทำมือ’ อาทิ การย้อมผ้าจากวัสดุธรรมชาติหลากหลายสี การปักผ้า การทอผ้า และการร้อยมาลัยแบบไทยดั้งเดิม ทั้งนี้ในงานยังจัดนิทรรศการการทำงานอย่าง ‘ธรรมมะ ธรรมชาติ และ ธรรมดา’ ของผู้ประกอบการทางสังคม การสาธิตเกษตรแนวใหม่ตามรอยพระราชดำริ

Art&Craft Market at the heart of Thonglor that features over 30 ethical shops of social enterprises on crafts, food, services and agriculture. Come join crafty workshops that go on all day, including natural dyes, hand-weaving, embroidery, garland making and stone-painting. Public Talks (in Thai) on ‘Social Enterprises in reflection of on Dharma, Nature and Simplicity’ on Saturday 4th and ‘Slow Fashion vs. Fast Fashion: Ethical and Meaningful Crafts’ on Sunday 5th.

Volkskraft Ethical Crafts Hub and Ma:D Club for Better Society have come together to organize the 2nd Volkskraft Market under the theme “Tham Tham Festival” Doers of King’s Philosophy: Dhamma, Nature, Simplicity at Khru Angnun’s garden, Thonglor soi 3 (previously Root Garden) on Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th February, 2017. The festival will gather over selected 30 social enterprises/ethical business from all over Thailand involved in a variety of community initiatives and products of crafts, sufficiency economy agriculture, food and services, showcasing and selling their products and initiatives that are in harmony with King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s sufficiency economy philosophy.

Activities at the event will include 6 craft workshops that will run throughout the two days on natural dyes of various colors and techniques, hand-weaving with a table loom, ‘sashiko’ embroidery and making traditional Thai floral art, orchid garland. There will be public talks on ‘Social Enterprises in reflection of on Dharma, Nature and Simplicity’ on Saturday 4th and ‘Slow Fashion vs. Fast Fashion : ethical and meaningful crafts’ on Sunday 5th. The space will also hold an exhibition to demonstrate how the enterprises are working with their communities in harmony with the king’s simplicity and natural philosophies.
