Back in September, the head honcho at the legendary Rocksteady Soul BBQ invited one-half of Slum Disco over to Singapore for cheeky appearance. Much to Tek’s surprise and dismay, there was actually no BBQ to be seen.

….but there was an oversupply of SOUL all the way throughout the night which more than just made up for it.

Playing alongside Tek that evening was an old friend - the Geordie Legend, Tommy Boyes. And since he flew Tek out to Singapore for a gig; and since we live in a world where the President of the United States can appoint his daughter and son-in-law into positions in Government, it is only fair Slum Disco repays the favour whilst partaking in a bit of much tried & tested cronyism.

But unlike the Trumps & Krushners of this world, the old friend is more than qualified to take the helm at our much-beloved Slum Disco party.

We won’t bore you with the details of our guest’s biography. No one reads this crap anyway.

All you need to know is this:

Tommy 'Rocksteady' Boyes has been DJing in Newcastle for a lot longer than most sexpats in Bangkok have been into prostitution. He started Rocksteady Soul BBQ when one-half of Slum Disco was still in his late teens (and we all know how fucking old Tek is!). He even brought Joey Negro to Newcastle in 2010; a night when Tek lost his mind to Disco music.

And since it’s Christmas, you guys will be treated to this magnificent line-up ALL FOR FREE.

We highly recommend turning up looking your worst. Leave your Jimmy Choos and Vivienne Westwood outside the door, and come get sweaty on the Dancefloor.

The whole evening will be live-streamed by ZAAP ROOM, so DANCING is a MUST. <3
