It’s hard to believe another year has already gone by and that we are again planning for Bangkok’s largest Canadian community event, our local Canada Day Celebration! This event will be an exciting day of family fun, food and festivities to celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday. Highlights will include live music by Southern Cross, ball hockey, volleyball and a magician. Kids can enjoy face painting, a bouncy castle, 3-legged races and more. Dinner will feature many BBQ and carvery items, as well as Canadian classics such as Poutine. We’ll even be serving up Caesars!
This year’s event will be made even more special by its inclusion of a farewell to Canada’s Ambassador to Thailand, Philip Calvert. Ambassador Calvert has served as Canada’s representative in Thailand for nearly 4 years and we hope to give him a warm farewell as his time in the country comes to a close.
The event is open to all members of the Canadian community, friends, associates and the general public. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 18, at the British Club in Bangkok from 3 pm to 10 pm. We hope to see you there!
