"Fundraising Strategy" invites two highly seasoned investors from Singapore to share their views on startups' fundraising strategies. You will be able to gain insights from real-life Venture Capitalists (VCs) on:

- What are the essential elements in a Pitch-Perfect Deck?
- Understainding the 'term sheet' and valuations.
- Meeting, Pitching, and Following-up with Investors.
- etc.

And to top it off, the night will end with 10 startup teams pitching live on stage with our 2 VCs, where they will gain real-time feedbacks, and perhaps, an investment opportunity!

Speakers

Albert Shyy
Albert Shyy joined GREE Ventures in 2014. He is based in Singapore and leads investments across Southeast Asia and India. He previously served as a Director at Lazada Group, Southeast Asia’s largest ecommerce retailer, and helped build the company’s Marketplace business across the region. He completed his MBA at the University of California, Berkeley, where he also co-founded and ran an online menswear company, AlbertMing Inc. Prior to business school, he worked at Monitor Group as a consultant across Asia and the US. He attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate, graduating in 2005 with dual degrees in economics and systems engineering

Monthida McCoole
Monthida is an experienced investment banker (previously worked with JP Morgan) - now an active angel investor based in Singapore. Her work at JFDI and muru-D accelerators focused on helping / advising startups on fundraising and engaging with prospective investors to close their seed rounds successfully. She is highly connected with the early-stage investors and has a good understanding of the investment landscape in Singapore.
