การบรรยาย “Design Talk: Transformational Change in Government and Public Service” โดยมาร์โก สไตน์เบิร์ก จัดขึ้นเพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ Government Innovation Lab  ซึ่งเกิดจากความร่วมมือระหว่างโครงการพัฒนาแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNDP) และสำนักงานคณะกรรมการพัฒนาระบบราชการ (OPDC) 

มาร์โก สไตน์เบิร์ก วิทยากรผู้มีชื่อเสียงจากประเทศฟินแลนด์ มาร์โกทำงานร่วมกับองค์กรและสถาบันระดับโลกจำนวนมาก  โดยให้ความช่วยเหลือผู้นำองค์กรและสถาบันต่างๆ ในการพัฒนาด้านกลยุทธ์ เพื่อร่วมกันสร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลงให้กับอนาคต

โครงการ Government Innovation Lab พร้อมด้วยโครงการพัฒนาแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNDP) และสำนักงานคณะกรรมการพัฒนาระบบราชการ (OPDC) เป็นหน่วยงานหลักในการสร้างห้องปฏิบัติการนวัตกรรมในศูนย์กลางของรัฐบาล ทั้งยังทำหน้าที่ พัฒนาระบบบริการสาธารณะและโครงสร้างของระบบราชการ ด้วยกระบวนการที่มีประชาชนเป็นศูนย์กลาง

มาร์โก สไตน์เบิร์ก

มาร์โก สไตน์เบิร์ก เป็นผู้ก่อตั้ง Snowcone & Haystack บริษัทออกแบบเชิงกลยุทธ์ในเมืองเฮลซิงกิ ประเทศฟินแลนด์ โดยมุ่งเน้นการช่วยเหลือรัฐบาลและผู้นำประเทศในเรื่องนวัตกรรม มาร์โกเชื่อว่าเพื่อให้นวัตกรรมที่แท้จริงเกิดขึ้น เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาซับซ้อนที่สังคม รัฐบาล และสิ่งแวดล้อมเผชิญอยู่ทุกวันนี้ มีความจำเป็นต้องเปลี่ยนวิธีคิดจาก “ความพยายามที่จะปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพ” มาเป็น “การออกแบบสิ่งที่เป็นไปได้ใหม่”

มาร์โกสำเร็จการศึกษาจาก Graduate School of Design มหาวิทยาลัย Harvard และได้ทำงานเป็นรองศาสตราจารย์ด้าน สถาปัตยกรรมในช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2542-2552 มาร์โกยังเป็นผู้นำกองทุน Sitra ซึ่งเป็นกองทุนด้านนวัตกรรมของประเทศฟินแลนด์ ในฐานะผู้อำนวยการด้านการออกแบบเชิงกลยุทธ์ระหว่างปี 2551-2556  มาร์โกได้เริ่มโครงการสำคัญๆ มากมาย รวมทั้ง Helsinki Design Lab (HDL) ซึ่งเป็นการริเริ่มในการให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านการพัฒนาการออกแบบเชิงกลยุทธ์ระดับโลก เพื่อที่จะสนับสนุนการตัดสินใจของรัฐบาลและการออกแบบบริการให้แก่ประชาชน

Design Talk: Transformational Change in Government and Public Service

As a part of Government Innovation Lab Project, working closely with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Office of Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC), the talk event “Design Talk: Transformational Change in Government and Public Service by Marco Stienberg” is organized in Bangkok.

Marco Steinberg, an honourable speaker from Finland, has worked extensively with international organizations and institutions to help leaders find the pathway to strategic improvement for co-creating transformational change for the future.

Government Innovation Lab Project, with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Office of Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC), are the key partners in building an innovation lab in the heart of the government and transforming public service systems and bureaucratic structures from a citizen-centered approach.

About Marco Steinberg

Marco Steinberg is the founder of Snowcone & Haystack, a strategic design practice in Helsinki, Finland focused on helping governments and leaders to innovate. He believes that in order for the real innovation to happen to solve complex challenges our societies, governments, and environment faced today, there is a need to shift our thinking pattern from “trying to improve the efficiency of what was to redesigning what could be”.

Marco Steinberg is the founder of Snowcone & Haystack, a strategic design practice in Helsinki, Finland focused on helping governments and leaders to innovate. He believes that in order for the real innovation to happen to solve complex challenges our societies, governments, and environment faced today, there is a need to shift our thinking pattern from “trying to improve the efficiency of what was” to “redesigning what could be”.

Marco received a degree from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design and eventually became an Associate Professor of Architecture there (1999-2009). He also led Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund as Strategic Design Director (2008-2013) launching many important projects, including Helsinki Design Lab (HDL), a global initiative to help advance strategic design supporting governmental decision making and service delivery.
