             This Friday sees the return of the Slum Disco Soundsystem duo to take musical control at Bangkok's premier club for an evening of pure dancefloor delight.

             Slum Disco Soundsystem is the collaborative brainchild of two local Bangkok DJs who are both successful in their own rights. One half has a DJ agency providing artists to some of Bangkok’s most prestigious venues, and the other runs a DJ & music production school for budding musicians who want to get into electronic music.

            The duo comprises of a British DJ of Thai descent, Tek Harrington, and Bangkok-born-and-bred Chote. Individually, they have appeared at all of Thailand’s premier events including Kolour, Wonderfruit, Karma Klique, and Mystic Valley, as well as internationally at Hanoi’s Savage, W Hotel in Hong Kong, and Quest Festival in Vietnam. Together under their Slum Disco pseudonym, they have taken the helm at some of Bangkok’s top clubs with Beam and Sing Sing Theater being their most recent appearances. And as if that wasn’t enough, both Chote & Tek are also joint-Music Directors at the prestigious Park Hyatt Bangkok.

            The ethos behind Slum Disco Soundsystem is simple: A no-nonsense straight up positive vibe, without taking anything too seriously, while breaking down social barriers through music with a few ‘hands in the air’ and ‘cut out the music and let the crowd sing’ moments. Amongst the storm of more popular genres such as Tech-House, Berlin-style Techno and EDM, these two stand out with their off-kilter selection of Boogie, Soul, Funk, Disco, House and Techno, taking dance music back to where it all started.
