MONOS:
Mythology from the East and music from the West unite in this prodigious intercultural fusion in which 3 Thai traditional dancers illustrate an epic story to the rhythm of Piazzolla's tango. After 18 monkeys dance theatre has been invited to work with the jazz band Escalandrum, Monos has been revisited to premiere at Teatro San Martin, Buenos Aires in September 2015.
Monos poses the question of how choreography, physical movements and scenography interact to create an new dynamic between one another. Conceived with a multidisciplinary approach, Monos focuses on the relationship between Thai traditional movements and choreographic design, perception and literature interpretation, dynamic of inner and outer space of the human body, interaction and participation between different mediums. Nature plays a
major part of the work
