An exquisitely crafted philosophical drama that swept audiences off their feet, winning the Golden Bear at the Berlinale and earning a prestigious spot in the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival.

Anchored by powerhouse performances from Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Léa Seydoux, the film observes human fragility and connection across three distinct eras (1908, 1972, and 2020) through the quiet, enduring perspective of an ancient ginkgo tree in a German botanical garden. It’s a deeply poetic, resonant meditation on time and the profound bonds linking us to the natural world.
