The YAA is known in their hometown Yokohama, as an Asian music mixture band, with the basis of jazz. Not only playing their main instruments in an uncommon style, they play Asian ethnic instruments creating a new type of fusion music, recorded on 2 great albums so far. That unique style of music and their outstanding performance charms the people through the Asian countries. From last year to current, they have performed in such countries as Indonesia, China, Korea, Singapore and so on, and winning popularity, their performance for the coming year is already booked. The performance by one of Japan’s top musicians sometimes heats the crowd with a groove you can not stand for your body to move, and sometimes will take you to a space where all pain and suffering will be forgotten. All of this, by YAA’s wonderful music expression.

Yuko Shirota;

Yuko has started her career as a professional piano player when she was a student of Kokugakuin University. After she graduated, she released her first album “Floral Breeze” from Teichiku Records that is one of a major record company in Japan. In 1985 and 1986, she was invited to “Golden Kite Music Festival” held in Malaysia and received excellent arrangement prize and superior song prize. Since she was invited to the 20th Montorex Jazz Festival at Swiss land, her overseas works were increased. Even today, she plays in New York, Seoul, Shan High and Indonesia.
Yuko recently led her gospel choir and produces Psychedelic Dance Band and also organize YAA Orchestra. She is also concerned in some of the music unit and project as organizer.

Her piano style is not only influenced under Jazz music but it is also mixed with world music such as Japanese, R&B, Brazilian and Asian ethnic. Her vocal is also full of great feelings.

Kenji Matsuura;　

He was born and grew up in Kyoto but his age is unknown. He started his professional career as a Jazz drummer when he was in Kansai University. After he played for famous Takahasi Getao Band, he launched into Tokyo/Yokohama area. His groovy drumming style is praised by other musicians and jazz listeners who come to Jazz spot. Recently, not only Jazz but he is also trying to have detailed knowledge of any percussions and ethnic instruments.

She calls herself :” Jazz singer from broke “ Single mother for 15 years after she got totally broke with small child. In 2014, she left high position and good-pay in Japanese company in 2014, and decided to be professional singer and do something else regarding VOICE. At the moment, DJ in J-channel, sings CM songs, MC, Narration. In 2014, performed in Bangkok Jazz festival by the river and in 2015, performed in Asean One in Chiang mai. She has performed with Koh Mr.Saxman and has good and firm relationship with other foreign musicians.Now, she enjoys singing in 5 star hotels.

YAA( ヨコハマ・アソシエーション・オブ・アーティスト)は横浜発のユニークな音楽集団。
「アジアンチャンプル」サウンドを追求する無国籍音楽楽団。
インドネシア、タイ、韓国、中国、マレーシア、シンガポール、モンゴルなどで演奏経験を持ち、　コンセプトは、アジアンチャンプルー・無国籍音楽。2013年のバリ島ウブドでのジャズフェスに出演するなど、アジア各国での活動も積極的に行っている。
今回は、リーダーでピアニスト、ボーカルの城田有子、ドラマーの松浦賢二が来タイ。ベースはタイで活動する日タイ混合ジャズバンドのKAORI、そして、ゲストにボーカルのMIMIという構成で、Jazzってこんなに楽しかったんだ！というステージをお楽しみください。

Profile;
城田有子

國學院大學卒業後、テイチク･レコードより「フローラル・ブリーズ」をリリース。 マレーシアの国家的イベント、ゴールデンカイト世界音楽祭に１９８５・１９８６年の２年連続日本代表となり、現地クアラルンプルでの決勝大会にて優秀作品賞、編曲賞に選ばれている。 第２０回スイス・モントレー・ジャズ･フェスティバルに参加。ニューヨークでのレコーディング、香港や韓国ソウルツアーなど海外での活動も多い。 最近では自身のゴスペル・グループやサイケデリック・ダンスバンドなど数多くのグループを率いプロデューサー兼プレーヤーとしても活躍中。 彼女の情感溢れるボーカルと黒っぽく存在感あるピアノ・テクニックは日本人離れしている。 お人柄そのままのファンキーなピアノとソウルフルなボーカルは一度聞いたらハマリます。

松浦賢二

京都府出身。抑制の効いたグルーヴ感溢れる演奏には定評がある。近年はジャズ・ドラマーとしてだけではなく、打楽器全般に対する造詣も深めている。横浜・都内を中心に活動中。細かい技をさりげなく見せてくれます。又、ラテン・ナンバーを演奏する時の粘りのあるグルーヴやリラックスした場でのカッコよさは抜群

MIMI;

一文無しから這い上がった浪速のジャズシンガー。幼児を抱えて一文無しを経験後、夫との死別によりシングルマザー歴15年。打たれ強くバンコクで生きています。2014年に運転手、車付きの高優遇の日系企業を潔く辞め、音楽に生き、声に関わる仕事をすることを決意。　現在は、J-channnelのDJを務めるほか、CMソング、司会、ナレーションをこなす。　2014年にバンコクジャズフェス、2015年にチェンマイで開催されたAsean　Oneに日本代表として出演。Koh Mr.Saxmanとも度々共演し、国内外のミュージシャンとも交流が深い。　現在は、念願の五つ星ホテルにて唄う日々。
